EPL: He’s different class – Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand hail Man Utd midfielder after latest win

Former Premier League stars, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand, have singled out Manchester United midfielder Casemiro for special praise after the Brazilian’s display during the Red Devils’ 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

Shearer described Casemiro as a different class, while Ferdinand said he loved the former Real Madrid star.

Casemiro was impressive as Man United defeated Forest at Old Trafford, thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Fred.

After the match, Shearer branded Casemiro’s performance as a ‘class act’.

The Newcastle United legend told Amazon Prime Video, “He is different class and makes everything look effortless.

“As I said, his tackle in the first half [in the build-up to Martial’s goal], his ability to read the game and see pictures before everyone else does… he’s a class act.”

On his part, Ferdinand tweeted: “3-0 Love this guy… @Casemiro”.
