EPL: Prove yourself or leave – Ten Hag warns Man Utd star

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has said Donny van de Beek can still turn around his career at Old Trafford.

But ten Hag has warned the midfielder must show his credentials or move on, ruling out a potential loan move in January.

“A loan doesn’t make sense. Either he finds himself or he proves himself in this atmosphere or he goes but for me, there is still a way for him.

“But it is not going to be easy the competition there is strong.”

Although van de Beek is contracted to United until 2025, there is an increasing belief he is not suited to the tempo of the Premier League.

The former Ajax player was sent out on loan to Everton last season but failed to impress at Goodison Park.
