EPL: Without them Premier League will be Serie A – Conte names Man City’s biggest challenger

Tottenham boss, Antonio Conte has said that Manchester City would have dominated the Premier League the way Juventus do in the Serie A if not for Liverpool.

Tottenham play Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, with the Reds hoping to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

And Conte said that Jurgen Klopp’s side should be proud because in the last five years, they have been a big challenge to Manchester City.

“Without Liverpool, I think City could do in the same way like Juventus was in Italy,” Conte told reporters on Friday.

“For this reason, they have to be proud to reach this level and I think they improved a lot in these years. Sure, they spent money, but Klopp has changed Liverpool and the club gave him the possibility to invest.”
