Europa League: Uzoho Nominated For Player Of The Week

Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho continues to make headlines in Europe following his amazing performance on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former Deportivo La Coruna shot-stopper was the cynosure of all eyes on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

His club Omonia Nicosia ended up losing the game by a lone goal but his performance was well-noticed by football across the World.

UEFA on Friday afternoon released the name of the players listed for the player of the week and Uzoho was among the nominated player.

He was listed among Oliviera of Braga, Veerman ( PSV), and Bovim of Sturm Graz of Austria.

The winner will be announced this weekend.
