Jigawa: Be fair, just in your reportage – Gov Namadi charges journalists

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has urged the working journalists to be fair and just in their reportage.

He made the call when he received the members of the correspondent chapel, who paid him a courtesy visit at Dutse Government House.

Governor Namadi, however, called on working journalists to support his administration’s commitment to developing the state.

“You are key stakeholders in promoting good governance, delivering effective public service, peace unity and progress of any government and society.

“Always try to be objective and balanced in your reportage and on our part, we would do anything to provide a conducive working environment.

“Please report us accordingly, but avoid writing any unbalanced report, because if you write an unbalanced story, you cannot sleep as your conscience will not allow you to do the wrong job,” Namadi stated.

Chairman of the correspondent chapel, Comrade Muhammad Zangina, said the members of the union were at the government house to congratulate the governor for a successful inauguration.
