RT. HON. SALIHU YAKUBU DANLADI (SYD) — Governorship Candidate

A grassroots mobilizer and seasoned legislator, Rt. Hon. Danladi has served as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly since 2019. Under his leadership, the 10th Assembly passed 23 bills and adopted 88 motions in just three years, driving democratic governance and grassroots development across the state’s 24 constituencies. He began his political journey through student activism at Kaduna Polytechnic and won his constituency seat in 2019 before becoming Speaker at just 34 years old. Endorsed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as “a competent and experienced leader capable of succeeding him,” SYD is ready to take Kwara to the next level.

HON. SEUN OGUNNIYI ADATO (ADATO) — Deputy Governorship Candidate

Hon. Ogunniyi currently represents Ojomu/Balogun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly. A tested grassroots leader from Offa in Kwara South, he has received endorsements from prominent Offa leaders, elder statesmen, and captains of industry who have resolved to back his candidature for cohesive representation and sustainable socio-economic growth. His candidacy has also earned the patriarchal blessing of NADECO chieftain Chief Ayo Opadokun, who praised his “steadfast grassroots commitment, legislative maturity, and devotion to progressive governance”.

The APC administration in Kwara has delivered unprecedented development:

· 586.09 kilometres of roads constructed or rehabilitated in six years
· 8,912 teachers hired — the highest since 1999
· Nigeria’s lowest child mortality rate
· Health facilities upgraded across all 193 wards
· N2 billion loan paid to farmers affected by COVID-19, with subsidised inputs, tractorisation support, and maize palliatives reaching thousands of beneficiaries

🤝 A MOVEMENT FOR THE FUTURE

This is a historic moment. For the first time since 1999, a candidate from the Borgu Kingdom in Kwara North is contesting the governorship on the platform of the ruling party. This ticket represents equity, inclusivity, and generational change — a bridge between experienced leadership and youthful energy.

Youth groups across all three senatorial districts — the Kwara North Integrity Youth Forum (KNIYF), Ilorin Emirate Dynamic Youths (IEDY), and Kwara South Young Professionals in Politics (KSYPIP) — have unanimously rallied behind the SYD-ADATO ticket, urging voters to “support one of your own” who will identify with their cause and make life more prosperous and abundant.
