Lagos Medical Doctor Accused of Raping his Wife’s Niece For Arraignment on Wednesday,Group demands Justice

 

The medical doctor, accused of defiling his wife’s niece, Dr Femi Olaleye will on Wednesday 30th be Arraigned before Justice R .A. Oshodi for the offence

The matter, though came up last week Monday, the matter couldn’t proceed as the accused was conspicuously absent in court.

While his lawyer, B.K Ogala informed that his client was not in court based on the fact that he was outside the state and the court summons were not properly served on him, but it was gathered that the accused Dr Femi Olaleye was in his home town, Ada in Osun state for the yearly Ada day celebration

Information revealed that the accused may also be absent in court on Wednesday, as he has been boasting of having strong connections in the government of Lagos state and beyond

It will be recalled that the medical doctor was reported to the police by his wife for defiling her niece, while police at Anthony police station arrested and detained him, he was left off the hook for no just reason

Not satisfied with the attention given the case at the Anthony Division, the wife again lodged a complaint at the state police command, where he was given administrative bail, the case file was taken to the office of Director of Public Prosecution for advise

The DPP came out with a verdict of indictment on the medical practitioner, who has similar case in the united kingdom which made him escape to Nigeria

Speaking with journalists on Sunday, the Executive Director of Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV), Comrade Gbenga Soloki disclosed that what they want is justice and that he and his team will continue to demand for it

“What we want in this case is Justice for the victim of the heinous crime. Nobody should be above the law in this matter and we are confident that the court will dispense justice without fear or favour, that’s our take”
