NPFL: Transfer: Ex-Enyimba star Obasi joins Beniniose side AS Cotonou

AS Cotonou have completed the signing of former Enyimba star Chigozie Obasi, DAILY POST reports.

Obasi, who won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2013, joined the Benin Republic club for an undisclosed fee.

The hard tackling midfielder signed a one-year deal with the club.

Obasi won the 2022-23 Nigeria Professional Football League title with Enyimba.

The player, alongside ten others, left the nine-time NPFL champions after the expiration of their contracts.

The 25-year-old midfielder has previously played for Sunshine Stars, Nasarawa United and Lobi Stars.
