NUP, Labour groups endorse Adeleke ahead of Osun governorship election

Governor-Ademola-Adeleke
Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Osun State Chapter, and organised labour for endorsing his administration ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The governor described the endorsement as a vote of confidence in his government’s efforts to improve the welfare of workers and retirees across the state.
Adeleke said his administration has prioritised the prompt payment of salaries and pensions, the settlement of inherited arrears, and the implementation of welfare measures aimed at improving the living conditions of pensioners and civil servants.
According to him, retirees have also benefited from the ₦25,000 pension award and access to free healthcare through enrolment in the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS), while workers continue to enjoy policies designed to promote their well-being and productivity.
The governor noted that the support from pensioners and labour unions reflects growing confidence in his administration’s people-focused programmes and commitment to responsible governance.
He assured residents that his government would continue to place the welfare of workers, pensioners and ordinary citizens at the centre of its policies, pledging to sustain ongoing reforms and development initiatives under his continuity agenda.
Adeleke also thanked the groups for their backing, saying their support would serve as motivation to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Osun State.
