Ogun Motorist Commends TRACE Leadership for Prompt Intervention, Calls for Sustained Professionalism

A motorist, Mr. Tony Dansu, has commended the leadership of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) for its prompt intervention in resolving a complaint arising from an incident involving the agency’s Agbara Divisional Command.

 

Dansu expressed his appreciation following what he described as a timely, professional and transparent response by the agency’s top officials, noting that their intervention demonstrated TRACE’s commitment to fairness, accountability and responsive public service.

The motorist specifically applauded the Commander General and Chief Executive Officer of TRACE, Commander Omonayajo Elias Adedayo, and the Commander of the Ogun West Zone, Commander Adekunle Ajibade, for personally contacting him and addressing his concerns after he lodged a complaint over an incident that occurred on October 7, 2026.

According to Dansu, the prompt attention given to his complaint by the senior officers reflected a leadership approach that prioritises public confidence, responsible conduct and the amicable resolution of disputes involving members of the public.

He said the intervention provided an opportunity for his concerns to be heard and addressed, describing the response as a positive demonstration of the agency’s willingness to engage constructively with citizens.

Dansu noted that the personal involvement of the TRACE leadership was particularly encouraging, adding that effective complaint-handling mechanisms were essential to strengthening public trust in traffic enforcement agencies.

He also commended the Commander of the Agbara Division, Commander Onasoga Adekunmbi, for his professional and cordial disposition throughout the process.

According to him, the divisional commander’s conduct contributed to the smooth handling of the matter and helped facilitate an amicable resolution.

The motorist further disclosed that his Toyota Corolla, with registration number FKJ 97 FA, was eventually released to him without any payment or financial demand.

He described the development as a satisfactory outcome, expressing appreciation to the officers involved for ensuring that the matter was resolved without further complications.

Dansu said the experience had strengthened his confidence in TRACE’s leadership and its commitment to promoting responsible traffic enforcement, transparency and positive relations with members of the public.

He therefore thanked Commander Adedayo, Commander Ajibade and Commander Adekunmbi for their respective roles in resolving the matter, describing their intervention as an example of responsive leadership and effective public service.
