The Commissioner of Police, Yobe State Command, Haruna G. Garba, has warned mischief and troublemakers to desist from any act of violence as any such attempt will be met with stiff resistance.

The CP through the Command’s Public Relations Officer DSP Dungus Abdulkarim in a statement issued on Thursday, gave the warning ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial and state assembly elections in the state.

He equally called on parents and guardians to warn their children and wards to refrain from being used as agents of violence such as thuggery, unlawful assembly and brigandage before, during and after the elections.

The Police Commissioner charged political party leaders in the state to warn their supporters to desist from any act that will be detrimental to the successful and peaceful conduct of the 18th March, 2023 polls.
